Reader’s Question:

I am a co signer for a car loan for my cousin. He was required to get SR22 which is fine because he already got one but the problem is that I am also required by the state of Arizona to provide an SR22 on that vehicle. I do not use that car and I do not have car insurance on it. I just co signed for that vehicle. If I get an SR22, it will definitely affect my car insurance in Scottsdale, Arizona. What do I do now?

When you contact them, you can ask them why you are being required to carry an SR22 and if you have any options. You may also ask them if there is any way you can remove your name off so you wont have to get an SR22.
