Is it true that if I take the driver improvement course in Arizona there will be no points charged to my license or increase in my auto insurance rate premiums?

If you receive a ticket for a non-criminal traffic violation and elect to attend a basic driver improvement course in Arizona there should be no points on your driving record. If, as a result of a traffic violation, you elect to attend and complete a basic driver improvement course, you will receive the following advantages:

1. Your insurance rates will not go up and your car insurance policy cannot be cancelled because of this infraction, unless this involved an accident where you were at fault.

2. Points may not be added to your driving record, adjudication of guilt is withheld, the fine is reduced up to 18% and safe driver status is maintained if applicable.
